Z-Axis Squaring

When first unboxing the printer, it is very likely the Z axis has gotten out of alignment.   This will result in the X-axis being out of square with the printer – one side will be much higher or lower than the other.  This can also happen occasionally through normal use of the printer.  This can lead to complications with bed leveling, first layer problems, and print quality, but is easy to resolve.

  1. Power off the printer, or disable the steppers using the control box.
  2. Manually turn the Z axis threaded rods (lead screws), turning both at the same time and same rate, until both sides are firmly seated against the top Z axis end stops.  This will square the X axis to the frame of the printer.
  3. Power on the printer.  On the control box, choose the mention option Quick Settings -> Home All.
  4. Re-level the bed.
